Connect your OpenCart store

Connect your OpenCart store to bring your orders, revenue, products and customers into Trackian. Takes about 5 minutes. You'll need admin access to your OpenCart store (version 3 or 4). Step 1 — Start the connection in Trackian 1. In Trackian, go to Setup → Extensions, find OpenCart and click Connect. 2. Enter your Shop URL (e.g. https://yourshop.com) and select your OpenCart version. 3. A download link for the Trackian extension appears — download the .ocmod.zip file. Keep this window open; you'll come back to it in Step 4. Trackian connect drawer with the module download link Step 2 — Install the module on your store 1. In your OpenCart admin, go to Extensions → Installer and upload the .ocmod.zip you just downloaded. 2. OpenCart 3 only: go to Extensions → Modifications and click the Refresh button (top right) so the change takes effect. OpenCart Extension Installer Step 3 — Create an API user and key 1. In your OpenCart admin, go to System → Users → API and click Add New (or reuse an existing API user). 2. Pick a username (e.g. trackian), click Generate next to the API Key field, and set Status to Enabled. OpenCart API user with a generated key 3. Open the IP Addresses tab and add 0.0.0.0. OpenCart requires at least one allowed IP here — Trackian connects using your API key, so no IP restriction is needed. 4. Click Save, and copy the username and API key. Allowed IP set to 0.0.0.0 Step 4 — Finish in Trackian 1. Back in the Trackian connect window, paste the API Username and API Key. 2. Trackian reads your store's order statuses and shows them as a list. Tick the statuses that should not count as revenue — the usual cancelled and refunded ones come pre-ticked. Your own custom statuses are never ticked for you; only you know what they mean. 3. Click Add to list, then Save. Choosing which order statuses don't count as revenue What happens next - Your first data arrives within a few hours, including roughly the last 120 days of order history. - Trackian keeps your numbers in sync with your store several times a day — orders, revenue, products and customers. - You can change the excluded statuses at any time (open the OpenCart card → your shop). Changing them recalculates about the last 120 days so your history stays consistent — nothing goes blank while it runs. Troubleshooting - "Your store rejected the API username or key" — re-check both in System → Users → API; the key must match exactly. - "Install the Trackian module" message — the module isn't installed (or isn't active) on your store yet; repeat Step 2, then re-open the connect window. - "Update the Trackian module" notice — your store runs an older module version. Download the current one from the connect window (Step 1) and install it over the old one; your data keeps flowing in the meantime.

Connect your WooCommerce store

Connect your WooCommerce store to bring your orders, revenue, products and customers into Trackian. Takes about 5 minutes. You'll need administrator access to your WordPress site. Before you start - Your store must be reachable over https:// — Trackian always calls WooCommerce over a secure connection. - Your permalinks must be set to anything other than Plain (Settings → Permalinks in WordPress). WooCommerce's REST API is switched off without them. Step 1 — Open the WooCommerce REST API settings In your WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API, then select Add key. On stores older than WooCommerce 3.4 this lives at WooCommerce → Settings → API → Key/Apps instead. The REST API keys screen in WooCommerce, with the Add key button Step 2 — Create a read-only key 1. Give the key a Description — "Trackian" is fine. 2. Leave User set to an administrator account. 3. Set Permissions to Read. Trackian only ever reads from your store, and a read key means it cannot change anything even by accident. 4. Select Generate API key. The Key details form with Description, User and Permissions set to Read WooCommerce now shows your Consumer key and Consumer secret. Copy both straight away — the secret is hidden for good once you leave this page. If you lose it, revoke the key and create a new one. The generated Consumer key and Consumer secret Step 3 — Start the connection in Trackian In Trackian, go to Setup → Platforms. Under Websites, find the Woocommerce card and select Connect. The Websites section of the Platforms page, showing the Woocommerce card Step 4 — Paste your credentials 1. Consumer key — the value beginning ck_. 2. Consumer secret — the value beginning cs_. 3. Shop name — your domain on its own. No https://, no trailing slash, no port. For https://example.com, enter example.com. 4. Select Add to list, then Save. The Connect WooCommerce panel with the three fields filled in Trackian checks the credentials against your store the moment you select Add to list, so anything mistyped is caught right there rather than hours later. What happens next - Trackian finds the date of your oldest order and backfills your history from there — not just the last few weeks. - From then on it syncs several times a day: orders, revenue, products and customers. - The card's status moves from Not set up to Syncing to Live. Anything that goes wrong with a sync is shown on the card itself. - To change the credentials later, open the card → Manage, select the pencil next to your shop, edit the fields, then select Update shop followed by Save. Select Update shop first — Save on its own won't pick up an edit you haven't confirmed. Troubleshooting "Failed to connect to WooCommerce. Check your credentials." The key or secret doesn't match what's on your store, has been revoked, or picked up a stray space when it was copied. Check it against WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API; the list there shows the last seven characters of each key. "Shop Name is not valid." The Shop name field has a scheme, port or path in it. It takes the bare domain and nothing else — example.com, not https://example.com/. "All fields are required." One of the three fields is still empty. "Source already exists." That shop is already connected to this project. The store works in a browser, but Trackian can't reach it. Check that your permalinks aren't set to Plain, and that a security plugin or firewall isn't blocking requests to /wp-json/.
